Home! After months of waiting and several weeks of roadtrip honeymooning (which involved a lot of work on our beloved Westy), Roger and I arrived in Victoria on Friday, January 25. We took the ferry from Port Angeles, Washington. I think that will become our crossing of choice.
The border crossing was amazingly painless, thanks mostly to the letter from our lawyer reassuring anyone who was concerned that our paperwork was all in order and my residency application had been submitted to Canadian Immigration.
So now I'm sitting in the living room of our cottage, next to my husband, watching A Daily Show make fun of the State of the Union speech. It's nice to be back, in spite of the crazy weather. It may be snowy here (very unusual), but I hear it's windy and far colder back in Ohio!
Stay tuned for details about our wedding, Christmas and the roadtrip honeymoon!
